Children are too busy? The importance of sleep

Busy Kids

In today's society, the temptation is to have our children all the time it takes. My wife and I were guilty, we are. But it is important to build down both our times and our children. E 'need for healthy growth of body and mind.

The final form of downtime and sleep. Of course we must ensure our children get enough sleep. We all need sleep. As I like most of the day,rob them of my sleep time never seems to work. There are physiological reasons for this.

Some people require less sleep than others and require different amounts of sleep in different life. For children, sleep is incredibly important for their physical and mental development.

Charge the battery

Sleep is literally a time to recharge the brain. Just like a battery that is "filled" again, sleeping on the charger, soRecharge your brain. Activities during the day brain molecules actually consumed for the reporting and the development of thought applied. These molecules are rebuilt during sleep, the tank charging for use the next day.

Studies show that growth hormones in the brain at lower levels after sleep deprivation. These hormones are in favor of the brain to create new connections during the learning and they need to maintain links already there. Sleep regenerates them inBrain, thereby improving performance the following day.

Improve memory

Besides the effect of sleep, as you run the next day, sleep effects how well you learned the previous day. Huh? How can a good night's sleep affects what you learned before the day?

Sleep is the time to consolidate and strengthen the memories. Even if your children, school can be a good night's sleep before, keep what they learn in school if they have another good nightSleep after school.

Studies show that the brain actually play the day's activities during sleep and remember that the ability to reproduce the experience stronger. This applies to both physical and academic experiences. This means that sleep helps to consolidate the "muscle memory practiced" on this day of mobility and intellectual mind. Whether in sports, playing a musical instrument, or learn the mathematics skills of sleep improved.

In a related study, researcherstook two groups of people have taught the same task, and tested them on it three days later. One group was deprived of sleep the night after learning the task and not the other group. Both groups have adequate sleep deprived for two nights more, so that neither sleep on the test day.

The group, which does not get enough sleep the night after the operation performed much worse for the test that the group enjoyed sleep, after an appropriate learning. This showsonce again, that consolidation in the night after learning the important experiences such as sleep enough before learning.

Your children sleep in September for a successful day, improving their attention, and then take home the experience, playing again.

Improve Grades

It should come as no surprise that the quality of classes to children in order to correlate the amount of sleep. Several studies have shown a strong correlation between school performance and sleepPlanning. Children who have less sleep get worse grades.

In some studies, the difference in sleep is not so great between the 'A and B' students and 'C' students. Studies show that the average difference between these groups of students only 30 minutes of total sleep time . This suggest that sleep a bit 'more will go a long way.

An important factor that many parents have not taken into consideration is the delay between going to bed at night school and on weekends.Weekend of delay is a factor in school performance. Students who are larger than a difference of two hours between school and weekend night performance typically have lower grades than students who have a delay of one hour or less.

can throw the shift of the sleep cycle, circadian rhythm and effect of distance, neurochemicals that control attention and learning. Moreover, as discussed above, the poor sleep on weekends hinder the consolidation of lessons learned during the week.

ImproveMood

The interaction between sleep and brain chemistry applies to humor as well. There are complex systems and neruochemicals hormones regulate our moods. This is a hot topic of scientific research for decades. We have made considerable progress in understanding the system, but are still really only scratched the surface.

Sleep and the effects of circadian rhythm have a huge influence on this system and our mood. In some cases, the simple lack of sleep cause irritability andLack of patience. In other cases, it can contribute to severe mood disorders like depression.

All parents know that if their children do not get enough sleep are lunatic. Sometimes when I'm too tired, but down right angry and unreasonable. We have all dealt with it. Well, there are a lot of Neurochemistry happened behind the scenes in these cases. Lack of sleep disrupts brain serotonin levels, which play an important role in sleep and mood.

How much sleep isenough?

Total sleep is important, and we as parents, must be considered to ensure that our children get enough sleep in bed soon enough. The time varies by age in childhood and juvenile, but most parents have an idea of what their children need. Typically, school-age children need more than 8 hours of sleep to function optimally. Most children need 9-10 hours a night.

Again, studies show that children with a greater difference betweenthe first night school and weekend duty bed sleep are more tired during the day, major depression and most of the cycle of sleep problems.

Ally Sandman and do what is necessary to obtain the time our children to bed. Their brains will thank us.
