Some kids are scared of ghost or the dark, being alone, or having a nightmare. Some kids feel insecure when their parents are not around. If fear is the reason, you should try to reason with them. Tell them why they should not be afraid. You can also find ways to comfort them. For instance, if they are afraid of the dark, turn on a light. If they feel insecure when you are not around, you can leave the door open to comfort them. Some parents tell their kids to check on them every half hour for support.
